A couple of bits of bran-news (and an update!) for 2007...
Firstly, the second Bran-book is on hold, as we're having trouble getting submissions in (inter alia). Don't worry if you've submitted a print-res bran, it will make it in the book once it's released.
Secondly, if you haven't yet submitted your print-res bran, what's keeping you? (info@bran-man.com)
And finally, this time, we'd like to mix up the Bran-book a bit and maybe include some writing, more general illustration and design, etc - if you're a creative type who'd like to see their work showcased, get in touch (address above, and below for that matter).
20/8/06 - Bran-man book mk II
Some of you may remember (in fact some of you may own a copy of) the first bran-book (this one). It came out in January and got pretty good reviews here and there.
To celebrate bran-mans first birthday we're putting together a second book, and are on the look-out for 50 all new brans to fill it with! So, if you're thinking of sending in a bran, why not send us a print resolution version as well (email if you need details) and it may make it in the second bran book!
25/7/06 - Happy Birthday Bran-man!
Yes yes, this is about a week late, but on the 25th of July, www.bran-man.com was 1 Year Old! It's hard to believe the sites been around that long already - we've gone through a few changes over the 12 months, had a few busy months, and a few quiet ones, had a forum, lost a forum, released a book, sold some badges. It's been fun, and we hope you've enjoyed it too.
Over the year we've posted 358 brans, and recieved nearly twice that - that's a bran for nearly every day of the year! Give yourselves a pat on the back. Keep on sending them in, we'll keep putting them up.
Look out for some big changes at bran-man in the coming months - we have plans!
19/6/06 - Online Sudoku...
Bran pops up in the strangest places... Check out the rather fab online Sudoku game by Marc Belmont at www.sudokucombat.com. It's rather good fun and you may spot one or two brans you recognise.

Sorry we've been short on updates for a while, but as you can see, we're a bit short on brans! We're gearing up for a bit of an overhaul so keep looking in.

25/2/06 - Bran-man toys - help us!
We need the expertise of some Bran designers for this one - we're starting work on the bran-man urban vinyl action figure (something along the lines of Qee, Dunny and Mad*L) this month and need some help in the ideas department.

24/1/06 - Bran-book released through lulu.com
The Bran-man yearbook 2005/6 is ready at last! The first release is through online publishers lulu.com, who do a great print on demand service - it's available from them now priced at $34.99

19/1/06 - Bran-book
The first bran-book is nearing completion. We've got 73 of the best brans so far in full colour, along with a few words from each of their creators.
Hopefully we'll get another couple sorted in the next day or so taking us to 75, and then we'll be done - we're aiming for the book to be ready by the 23rd of January, so watch this space!

It's a bit late, but Happy New Year to you all from Bran anyway! Hope it's off to a good start for you all.
It's shaping up to be an exciting year for bran-man.com - the site's coming together, and we've got the bran-man yearbook coming up, hopefully at the end of January, so watch this space. In the meantime, keep on submitting the bran's, and if you have a spare moment, head over to our forum and join in the chit-chat.

We've added a few new items to our Cafépress e-shop. Head over and have a look - Bran-man T's are the big winter fashion statement.
We're aiming to have a few of the most popular brans on T-shirts soon - drop us an email with the top five brans you'd like to see on a shirt.

Issue 1 of Advanced Photoshop magazine carries a half page article about bran-man. Check out a PDF of the article here or even better, look for Advanced Photoshop in your newsagents and buy a copy!
Oh, and if you see one, please tell us where, cos we haven't found a copy yet!
21/10/05 - Bran on ebay

19/10/05 - New server
Thanks to the very fine chaps at VNM hosting we now have our own server space. They do some fantastic deals for designers and are great to work with - go check them out at www.vnmhosting.co.uk and tell 'em bran-man sent you!

17/10/05 - New web pick
We're on New web pick as a "very cool" site! Hurrah and all that - have a look at our link here. We've got four little red bars out of five as well, though we're a bit stumped as to what that means...
1/10/05 - Get a bran on your wall
The first six brans are now available on limited edition printed canvases - click a picture to have it large. Limited to ten of each design and they're only £25 plus £5 p+p (for postage in the UK) so get in there before they all go. email shop@bran-man.com to order one. Each print measures 12" x 12" and is printed on 440gsm laminated canvas.
Also, any bran designers who'd like to see their bran for sale on the site, please contact us to discuss.

Please use our new google search bar below to find some great online stores selling urban vinyl - it helps us stay online and will point you towards some of the raddest vinyl toys out at the moment. (removed)
13/09/05 - Advertising (we're very sorry)
In another vain attempt to make enough money to keep bran-man online we've sold our souls to google (as you've probably noticed). Among the random links to camouflage netting (!) there's links to some good stores that stock Qee, Trexi, be@rbricks etc - we'd appreciate it if you'd just give them the odd click - a couple of clickthroughs is all it'll take to keep us hosted. Bran-man now has it's own web space. Probably more exciting for me than it is for you, but there it is anyway. Hooray for web space.

9/08/05 - 100 Bran

7/08/05 - Bran T-shirts
Initial discussions for bran t-shirts have begun - hopefully we'll have some wearable bran merchandise sorted by the end of the year. As usual, more to follow...

If all goes well, bran will hopefully be appearing in the British press soon. More news when we have it.

Plans are now afoot for a bran-book. We'll collect some of the best brans so far and put together a compilation book for sale on the site. Keep checking back for more news.
